Blunt is critical of Spears' media treatment

Singer James Blunt has hit out at the media for reporting on Britney Spears' personal life and habits rather than her music.
In an interview with the New York Daily News, Blunt described Spears as a "phenomenal artist", before criticising the media for reporting on the fact that she was photographed wearing no underwear.
"I think when you put the emphasis on her knickers and not on her talent, you lose perspective," he said.
"It really detracts, as a whole, from things that are really important, like global warming and war."
"Sending paparazzi to investigate things like this is useless. We're better than that; we have the power to teach and educate. Let's spend our time on that."

Stallone considering more Rambo, Rocky sequels

Sylvester Stallone is considering scripts for further sequels in his 'Rocky' and 'Rambo' franchises, despite vowing never to revive either of the legendary characters again.
The action star has signed a multimillion dollar deal to direct and star in two new action films, which may feature his two best known characters.
The actor will again link-up with 'Rambo' producers Danny Dimbort, Avi Lerner and Trevor Short of Nu Image/Millennium Films following the success of his recent films 'John Rambo' and 'Rocky Balboa'.
He told the Hollywood Reporter: "The past year and a half of working with Avi, his partners Danny and Trevor and his film family has been nothing but a high point for me and my career and an extremely rewarding experience. Avi is a real gentleman and a man of his word."
Stallone's 2006 film 'Rocky Balboa' grossed $70m, while the fourth instalment in the 'Rambo' franchise took $18.2m in its opening weekend in the US last month.
The 61-year-old is also separately working on a remake of the 1974 vigilante drama 'Death Wish'.

Arnold Schwarzenegger - Schwarzenegger To Uphold Same-sex Marriage Ruling

Action man-turned-politician ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER's bid to outlaw same-sex marriage in California has been overturned by the state's Supreme Court.

Officials have ruled that gay marriages are legal unions in the state, and those who wed during a spate of same-sex nuptials at San Francisco's City Hall in 2004 will be recognised as married couples.

Those marriages were all declared void by officials who were against same-sex marriages.

Governor Schwarzenegger was among those who opposed the gay weddings.

But on Thursday (15May08), the Supreme Court officials ruled state laws against same-sex marriage are unconstitutional.

In a statement released shortly after the ruling, Schwarzenegger declared he will "respect" and "uphold" the decision.

The former movie star also reiterated previous promises he made to California's gay community, that he will not support "an amendment to the constitution that would overturn this State Supreme Court ruling".

California becomes the second U.S. state to legalise same-sex marriage.

Early release for Brit's album

Britney Spears' new album Blackout is coming sooner than expected after leaks have meant illegal distribution of unfinished material and demos.

The US pop star's eagerly anticipated new album will be released on October 30, Jive Records announced today, citing internet leaks as the reason the date was moved up from November 13. Jive said it "is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs," including the leaking of "unfinished material and demos represented as completed legitimate songs" to the internet. Spears' new song, Gimme More is the first single from Blackout. It is rising on the music charts - jumping from No 68 to No 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 last week - despite the pop star's personal woes.
